Our Story

Faith Baptist Church was established in 1959 when a group of godly believers got together to pray about starting a church in the Perry community where Christ would be magnified and the gospel of Christ would make a difference.  We just celebrated our 60th Anniversary of ministry in Perry!

James Burnett
Interim Pastor

​James and his wife, Stacey, both grew up right here in Perry.  After high school, James attended Pensacola Christian College in Florida where he earned a degree in Youth Ministries.  He became the youth pastor at his home church in Ohio and ministered there for 13 years.  James has a heart for Christian Camp and in 2013, God called him and his wife to Virginia to work in camp ministry.  Recently, the Lord burdened them to leave Virginia and come back home to Ohio to be near family.  Currently, James is serving as the interim pastor here at Faith while we search for a full time pastor.  He and his wife have three children, Jack (4), TJ (1), and Anna (2 months).
